The Responsibility Revolution, explained in the works of Pastor Bryan Rocine, is a call for believers to reject selfism and embrace God’s expectations for our lives.

In the Bible there was a time when God met with his people before a golden box called the Ark of the Covenant. The box was to be carried on two sturdy poles or staves like a litter carrying a great sovereign. Mere humans would literally feel the weight of carrying God. Even though the days of carrying a golden box are long gone, an analogy is still fresh. In our day so many believers seem to have forgotten the call to shoulder their responsibility on two staves. What is out of balance as a result? What are we dropping?

The two staves symbolize the one-two combination, God’s blessing and human effort. First, the blessing—if not for God’s loving intentions and miraculous intervention in our lives, we would be caught on a treadmill of vanity without any hope of divine purpose or eternal reward. On the other hand, there is a second matter. We are not to forget that we also must work our hardest. If we do not join responsible action with the blessing of God, we can frustrate the loving intentions of our heavenly Father.
